Divine Divinity

Thank you for loving me when I didn't know,

What loving me meant,

Time spent making myself an option, 

When I should have been my first priority, 

Not realizing I was teaching others how to value me,

Yet forgetting to value self,

Unrequited wealth,

Life taught me to look at me,

See the worth in my being,

Dust off my crown I had hidden,

The truth in who I am,

The light that glows beaming in darkness, 

Opportunity saw what I didn't see,

Leached on to me,

I didn't see greatness in me until I became broken,

By the ills of life strife opened my eyes,

Inconsistency stood in front of me,

Showing me to me,

Bothered by what I've seen,

Deep within is how I found the reality of me,

Erect in my glory never again,

Will I allow me to be an option to me,

Or anyone for that matter,

A priority of Valor, 

My crown polished Divinity shines bright,

Access is limited now I know,

Who I've become and who I was created to be,

Sprouted Tears

A wish fulfillment,

It did seem,

Living my nightmare,

Peace in my dreams,

Deeply rooted,

Planted seed in soil,

Hot, cold

My spirit in turmoil,

Clouded vision,

Building on pause,

Not sure of what it is,

Not convinced of what it was,

I thought if I was nurturing,

Cultivate untamed land,

I would see flourishing,

From the works of my hand,

Dried roots,

Gave birth to rotten fruit,

Redirection,

Not giving up on my pursuits,

The promise may be delayed,

Never denied,

Sprouts sprung up,

From the tears I cried,

From my cleansing gave room to grow,

Thankful for new life,

And enjoying the journey

So my vision could become clear

Creating my destiny

Planted in my truth

Lessons learn in my youth

I am abundance 

Riches of my soul

I am prosperity 

My spirit draped in gold,

I am health

Healing me from within, 

I am wealth

Overflowing dripping zen

I am gifted

Sharing my talents worldwide 

I am light

Shining bright unable to dim what's inside 

I am love

Giving freely from my overflow 

I am power

Illuminating and elevating wherever I go

I am peace

The calm in raging seas

I am grateful

Kneeling 

This is why he was kneeling, 

To bring about the injustices of police brutality, 

The murder of another black man minority, 

This legalized lynching has gone on long enough, 

We've had enough, 

Literally placing your knee on his neck,

To silence him as a matter of fact,

You heard him say he can't breathe, 

To you that didn't mean a thing,

As you took pleasure in what you were doing,

Pursuing, 

What you sought out to do,

Leave him lifeless in the end,

Murder by cop is a hateful trend,

When does it end,

War on blacks by Amerikkka,

In what was the land of the free,

Home of the brave,

Now the lynching capital of a black man,

You still see as a slave,

We are tired and fed up,

This shit will end,

One way or another, 

Listen to what I'm saying,

Naked

Can I get naked with you,

Unclothed all the demons,

I hide behind the layers,

Of disguises, 

Can I show you my naked truth, 

My vulnerabilities, 

My insecurities, 

Can I show you my doubts and fears,

Can I show you my scars,

Where my innocence once lived,

The bruises of the fist,

My mother beat me with,

The stretch marks,

From where my body was given, 

To get my lovers to stay,

When all they did was play,

In my playground,

Passed me around,

Can I show you,

My truths in the bottom of the bottle, 

Emptiness rest,

Will you be able to see me,

Through the tribulations, 

Breakthroughs and breakdowns, 

Can you love me,

After seeing what can't be unseen,

Can you love me past it all,

Can you help me mend,

So I no longer have to pretend, 

I have it all together, 

Will you whether, 

The stormy weather,

Will you love me in my pain,

On those nights with down pouring rain,

Will you be able to listen,

After hearing me,

Feeling me,

As I expose my inner me,

Full of faults and flaws,

Real and raw,

Will you run or walk away,

Now I've exposed more than my body,

For I am only human,

I long to be a better me,

I try my best to chose my words wisely, 

That they become a gentle kiss,

To a heart that's hurting, 

No malice, 

No harm,

But compassion, 

Empathy, 

A new hope,

As the sun skirts the horizon, 

Soft as the caress of sunlight,

On your face in the morning, 

I pray these words be of,

Service and healing, 

Hope and love,

But most of all,

A blessing for you.
