The strength of grace.

In life we are given so much grace daily, often too many times we don’t use our grace with wisdom. We tend to get caught up in helping people that no matter to what degree you go they just won’t make better decisions to have a better life. Once we realize that we can’t save everyone that’s the moment you can decide to focus more on being able to discern who is more suitable of the remaining grace that you haven’t given yourself. I am all about uplifting others and helping others out but I am never about wasting my time on someone who just isn’t willing to make a change in their life. I always say to change a man you first have to change his mind. If they can’t change the way they think about themselves or their situation then change won’t come.

In life we all have something that is coming against us whether it is at the work, home or our own personal issues. For each situation there is grace given, if you always chose to give it away stop complaining when there is none left for yourself. Stop getting mad at other people for prioritizing their life, issues and circumstances. You too can do the same thing if you chose to, yet you sit there waiting for someone else to come along and do so. My early years I allowed people to use me, run over me, manipulate me in more ways than one because I wanted to help them or better yet save them. It has taken me some time to learn this lesson but I have finally learned that if I can’t work out my own issues then I can’t help anyone else work out theirs. Often at time when I’m working on me and helping someone at the same time we both are able to open our eyes to see things about ourselves that had that not happened we would have never seen it.

The key to it all is to be able to give to yourself that in which you so desire to give to other people. Never take from those who do the same for you to give to someone that doesn’t. In my younger years I always found myself trying to help out the people that treated me the worst and those that always were there to help me I treated them the worst. I had to sit back and reevaluate what it was I was giving my grace to, so once I did that I realized that I had taken advantage of those who truly cared for me for someone who was just using me. I was able to help someone who didn’t care for me much life better in opposed to helping someone who did care for me. I tell you I was screwed up in my thinking process but I had to learn to change the way I think about things.

I found out that I needed more grace for me at times and how I was using my grace for those who didn’t need it made me feel like a fool. But that in itself was not the right way to think because my intentions were good I was just directing them in the wrong direction. I too had to learn how to change how I saw things in life it wasn’t easy but I saw that it was worth it. So the more I thank God for his grace the more I see that I have to share but it all started with me. I could not continue trying to help someone when I wasn’t helping myself first. I couldn’t continue to preach to someone if I couldn’t live by my own sermons. I confess there was a time when I was a hypocrite but that was a cross I had to bare and shame I wore until I changed me. Because of his GRACE I am a new person, woman with wisdom and understanding.

The point I am trying to make in a nutshell is that use your grace for you first then and only then will your grace for others be more effective. My dream, goal and desires are to help, uplift and inspire those around me. So in order for me to do so I have to be the BEST me first, may God’s grace reign over you as well as it has for me. It is time to look at the times we are living in and wise up.....

This speech was broadcast by legendary ABC Radio commentator Paul Harvey on  April 3, 1965:

If I were the Devil . . . I mean, if I were the Prince of Darkness, I would of course, want to engulf the whole earth in darkness. I would have a third of its real estate and four-fifths of its population, but I would not be happy until I had seized the ripest apple on the tree, so I should set about however necessary to take over the United States. I would begin with a campaign of whispers. With the wisdom of a serpent, I would whisper to you as I whispered to Eve: “Do as you please.” “Do as you please.”   To the young, I would whisper, “The Bible is a myth.” I would convince them that man created God instead of the other way around. I would confide that what is bad is good, and what is good is “square”.  In the ears of the young marrieds, I would whisper that work is debasing, that cocktail parties are good for you. I would caution them not to be extreme in religion, in patriotism, in moral conduct. And the old, I would teach to pray. I would teach them to say after me: “Our Father, which art in Washington” . . .
If I were the devil, I’d educate authors in how to make lurid literature exciting so that anything else would appear dull an uninteresting. I’d threaten T.V. with dirtier movies and vice versa. And then, if I were the devil, I’d get organized. I’d infiltrate unions and urge more loafing and less work, because idle hands usually work for me. I’d peddle narcotics to whom I could. I’d sell alcohol to ladies and gentlemen of distinction. And I’d tranquilize the rest with pills. If I were the devil, I would encourage schools to refine yound intellects but neglect to discipline emotions . . . let those run wild. I would designate an athiest to front for me before the highest courts in the land and I would get preachers to say “she’s right.” With flattery and promises of power, I could get the courts to rule what I construe as against God and in favor of pornography, and  thus, I would evict God from the courthouse, and then from the school house, and then from the houses of Congress and then, in His own churches I would substitute psychology for religion, and I would deify science because that way men would become smart enough to create super weapons but not wise enough to control them.
If I were Satan, I’d make the symbol of Easter an egg, and the symbol of Christmas, a bottle. If  I were the devil, I would take from those who have and I would give to those who wanted, until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious. And then, my police state would force everybody back to work. Then, I could separate families, putting children in uniform, women in coal mines, and objectors in slave camps. In other words, if I were Satan, I’d just keep on doing what he’s doing.

Paul Harvey, Good Day.

It's time to wake up we have been sleeping long enough. We as a people need change and a wiser way to create change.

Everything isn't always easy

When things are going the way we feel they should go there is nothing that we can't face. But the moment things began to become uncomfortable we look for the easiest way out. What ever happened to fighting through the situation? What ever happened to going through the test to have a testimony? How is it we can always tell other's what's best to do but when we are faced with trials we look for the first exit? How did it become our responsibility to take care of others lives and not know what it is to take care of our own lives?

Leaving a job that has run its course and look for a new one isn't easy. Working on a relationship/marriage that is facing difficult times isn't easy. Raising a child that is becoming rebellious isn't easy. Finding the root cause of each thing that happens in your life isn't easy and it takes time and hard work to find out what happened. Working on things and fighting with faith isn't always easy because we always want the microwavable fix INSTANT. But not all things will be fixed or repaired instantly. Often you have to put in the work to fix the issue, not try to put a bandage over it in hopes it heals itself.

Count your blessings.

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who won't survive the week. If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 20 million people around the world. If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death, you are more blessed than almost three billion people in the world. If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy. If your parents are still married and alive, you are very rare, especially in the United States. If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not. If you can hold someone's hand, hug them or even touch them on the shoulder, you are blessed because you can offer God's healing touch. If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read anything at all. You are so blessed in ways you may never even know.

Be yourself

If I’m not trying to force my beliefs and issues on you then don’t try to force your beliefs and issues on me. I’ve learned that when people come from different backgrounds they don’t think or act the same. Everyone’s morals and values are not always equal. For instance if you come a life of love, respect and commitment from childhood to adulthood then that’s what you know. But you may find someone that came from a drug infested, abusive childhood to adulthood that is what they know. So in each one’s eyes this is a way of life, we live with blinders of our past over our eyes. Not to say either is right or wrong but to be able to come to a place of understanding and compromise.

Life will have its struggles and achievements truth is it’s all about how we deal with them. There is no manual to show you when this happens in life this are how you should handle it. Some like me rely on the gospel of the Lord those who don’t believe in a higher power rely on other gods, ideology, scientology and theology.  However we believe there comes a time when we must be able to agree to disagree because of how our beliefs are rooted in us. I kneel before my god so that I am able to stand before man. As long as we are living we will come against some things in life, we have to find the strength from our inner being to fight our demons. Life however will equip you with what it is need in order to overcome obstacles, cross bridges and swim through the rough seas.

Learn to listen to the voice of your destiny and not the voices of others who want you to live your destiny through their eyes. Never let the chatter of what everyone else wants drowns out your needs. Even if we are headed in the same direction we are still on different paths in life. No two footprints will be the same, no two hurts will be the same, and no two ambitions will be the same. All may have similarities but never the same. How we see things interpret things are always different even if we are trying to reach the same goals. I may have to go through hell and high water to reach my goal, you may only have high waters but we keep pressing forward in the same direction just on different paths.

With every decision you make first find peace in your situation so you later have no regrets. I tell people the devil knows your heart just as god does. You have to know your shepherds voice so that you know the choice you made aligns with the will for your life. There is this thing called “free will” god grants you free will to make your own choices but when you are off your predestined course all you find is chaos. Also there is a season for everything in our lives so what was good last season doesn’t mean it is good for your new season. Evolve in life come out of being stagnant riding the waves of that old stigmatisms.
